The complete HomeCycle Journey
The Homecycle program is brought to you by SCRgroup who work with local charities to divert
reusable items from landfill into communities that need them the most.
Step 1
Begin to collect all of your items, as per the ‘What do we accept’ and sort them into bags and boxes according to the 3 step process.
Step 2
Book a collection on the day that suits you and follow the steps to understand how to prepare your items for collection.
Step 3
You will receive a confirmation email and text message and can begin to complete your items for collection. Remember to bag your ‘worn and torn’ items separately and mark boxes where possible to assist in the sorting process.
Step 4
We work with local charities and organisations to maximise our local social and environmental impact by following a circular economy to repurpose items into communities that need them the most.
Step 5
Our friendly team collects your items from your front door and transports them to a local sorting facility, where all items are sorted into recovery streams, providing work to Australians.
Step 6
We work closely with local charities and relief organisations to repurpose items locally. Clothing and Bric a Brac are sent to our partner sorting facility in Malaysia for repurposing in communities across the globe, including Australia.
Step 7
A percentage of items come back into Australia and are distributed to Charity organsations and partners. Items not fit for repurpose, will become wiper rags, or converted into Bio-fuel and building materials.
Thank you for being a part of the HomeCycle program.
